During your routine check up the dentist will assess the health of your teeth, looking for decay and worn or leaking restorations; in addition to this the condition of your gums will be measured to check for any signs of disease. Dental X-rays may be needed depending on when they were last taken and if anything is found during the examination. At Clavell-Bate and Nephew dental practice we use state of the art digital radiographs which allow us to instantly view your images and to discuss any findings there and then. A thorough check of your head, neck, temporomandibular joint, occlusion and facial soft tissues will be carried out at every visit alongside oral cancer screening.
